This event means officially inaugurating the execution of the project which was attended by the country's president, Luis Abinader, and the electricity superintendent, Rafael Velazco Espaillat.

At DOMINION, together with our associate BAS Corporation, we are in charge of the development and commissioning of the park that will have a capacity of 79MWp and will avoid the emission of more than 60,000 tons of CO2 per year. It is expected to be made up of 149,310 solar panels and generate 400 direct jobs in the region.

In the following video you can see how this project is progressing, which brings the Dominican Republic closer to its goal until 2025, the year in which they expect 25% of the electricity consumed by the country to come from renewable energies:

This park joins one of our great milestones in the country and in the field of clean energies: the construction of Mata de Palma in 2019, the largest park on the island so far with a power of 66.8MWp and made up of 200,694 solar panels distributed over an area of 90 hectares.
