The Challenge

The committee rooms of Spain’s Congress of Deputies are essential spaces for parliamentary activity, hosting meetings, debates and hearings that require reliable communication systems tailored to the needs of each session.

The project involved modernising the audiovisual installations in five committee rooms of varying capacities and layouts to upgrade their communication systems and simplify technical management.

Among the spaces upgraded was the Ernest Lluch Room, with 181 delegate positions, making it the second-largest room by capacity in the parliamentary complex after the main chamber.

DOMINION's Plus

DOMINION upgraded and integrated the audiovisual systems in five committee rooms of Spain’s Congress of Deputies, comprising a total of 421 delegate positions.

The scope of work included modernising the following installations:

• Conference and simultaneous interpretation systems, to support contributions and communication during sessions.
• Audio systems, for sound management and playback.
• Video systems, for managing audiovisual content.
• Technical control systems and facilities, for equipment monitoring and operation.
• Audiovisual infrastructure, to integrate the different systems within each room.

The work covered five spaces within the parliamentary complex: the Prim Room, the Ernest Lluch Room, the Pérez-Llorca Room, the Fraga Iribarne Room and the Herrero y Rodríguez de Miñón Room.

The project demonstrates DOMINION’s ability to integrate different audiovisual technologies in demanding institutional environments, adapting installations to the characteristics and operational requirements of each space.

Results

Completed in February 2023, the modernisation upgraded the audiovisual installations in five committee rooms of Spain’s Congress of Deputies, incorporating communication, simultaneous interpretation and technical control systems tailored to parliamentary activity.

The renewed infrastructure facilitates the audiovisual management of meetings, debates and hearings, supporting the operation of spaces essential to the work of one of Spain’s key institutions.

With this project, DOMINION builds on its experience in audiovisual integration for institutional buildings and technically demanding spaces, where reliability, system coordination and communication quality are fundamental.
