DOMINION has received the Best AV Integration Award 2026 for its involvement in the development of the Murcia Audiovisual Hub, a project that combines cutting-edge audiovisual technology, specialist engineering and architectural heritage preservation.

The award, presented by the specialist publication AV INTEGRACIÓN, was handed out on October 29 during BITAM Show 2026, one of Spain’s leading audiovisual industry events, held at Madrid Arena. José Manuel Barrena and Miguel Guindulain attended the ceremony on behalf of DOMINION to accept the award.

A project bringing technology and heritage together in just 90 days

The Murcia Audiovisual Hub was conceived to transform the historic Cuarteles de Artillería (Artillery Barracks) into a space dedicated to digital content creation, audiovisual production and esports.

To bring this vision to life, DOMINION took responsibility for the end-to-end management of the project, working alongside INFiLED and B-Tech to overcome two major challenges: integrating high-performance audiovisual equipment into a protected historic building without altering its original structure, and completing the entire project in just 90 days.

The result was the creation of two state-of-the-art facilities:

• An audiovisual production and xR studio, featuring a 12 × 4-metre curved LED screen, side panels and an LED ceiling designed to create immersive visual experiences.
• A gaming arena, equipped with an 18 × 4-metre LED screen, designed to host esports competitions, events and community activities.

The project required the design of custom-built support structures, the coordination of internationally sourced materials and components, and meticulous technical planning to ensure the building’s preservation while meeting the established deadlines.

Recognition of DOMINION's technology integration expertise

Now in their sixth edition, the AV INTEGRACIÓN Awards recognise the audiovisual industry's most outstanding projects for their scope, innovation and quality of execution.

In the case of the Murcia Audiovisual Hub, the jury particularly highlighted the technical complexity of integrating advanced audiovisual technologies into a protected heritage building, as well as the quality of the engineering and the comprehensive approach to project management.

This award underscores DOMINION's expertise in audiovisual systems and technology integration, demonstrating its ability to deliver highly complex projects, from design and engineering through to installation and commissioning.

The Murcia Audiovisual Hub also demonstrates how technology can give historic spaces a new purpose, fostering digital creativity and creating opportunities for local development.
